Here's the 1984 300 HD, hard to believe it was re-built
by the looks of it.
Here it is installed, notice the TFI-IV solenoids on
the rocker cover.

This is the 3spd/Od that I pulled from the truck.
And this is the 1985 NP 435 that I put in in it's place.
The top head is the small chamber '66 240 unit, and the
bottom is the warped one off of the 82.
And this is the truck that donated the 300 HD partially
stripped. To think I drove it home... No rocker panels, no rear brakes,
one taillight, and closing the drivers side door required pushing the back
of the cab ahead...
